2014: New Year, New Adventures

A popular thing to do during this time of year is obviously reflect on the past year. We reflect on the memories, the decisions, the mistakes, the pain and the joy that all came with the year before. As for the us Millards, we experienced a lot of ups and downs that have made us stronger as a couple. 2013 was our first full year of marriage and of course there are a few adjustments that come with getting married that we experienced during the last year.
We were also blessed with the opportunity to travel to see family and friends. In April we were able to go to Las Vegas to see a friend sealed to her love for time and all eternity. In August we were able to go see Jacksons brother Cameron and his wife Adele and their adorable daughter Collette before they moved to Bangladesh for two years. Then of course we were able to just have a trip for us, where we didn't have to worry about anything at all. (Read previous post!) Then I was blessed enough to see my mom a lot more this year then the previous!
As we begin this year, Jackson and I joke of the uncertainty that lays before us! I pretty much will be done with classes in April and I will have to find an internship for the spring semester. Jackson will also be done in the spring, so we will both walk and celebrate our graduation in July. Jackson has begin applying to grad schools and we have no idea where we will end up. But by the time September rolls around we most likely won't be in Rexburg, Idaho anymore. Jackson is a psychology major, applying to schools that have Program Evaluation programs. The schools he has picked are all over the country and by the end of 2014 we could be anywhere from California, Colorado, Michigan, Kentucky, or Virginia.
Also during 2014 we will get to travel a little bit! We are already planning a trip to Seattle around May to see the Millards and meet the newest addition to the family. We also have a trip in November with the entire Raynor family to Disneyland! Then we are preparing for the chance that we might have to travel for a grad school interview as well! We would also love to squeeze another short cruise this year, but who knows if we will be able to do that.
On top of all of this, we have some resolutions to help us improve and be better. I think that 2014 will be a great year, and I can't wait to see where this journey takes us!
Love, The Millards!
